Ríomhairí, Ríomheolaíocht Struchtúr sonraí a mb'fhéidir go n-athródh a thréithe eagraíochtúla i rith a shaoil. Go minic baineann solúbthacht lena leithéid seo struchtúir, e.g. liostaí nasctha, ach is minic a laghdaítear éifeachtúlacht rochtana ar eilimintí an struchtúir mar gheall air sin. Tá dhá ghné ar leith a idirdhealaíonn struchtúir dhinimiciúla ó struchtúir statacha sonraí. Ar an gcéad dul síos, ní féidir a thuilleadh an t-eolas struchtúrtha ar fad a bheith i gceanntásc; ní mór do gach eilimint eolas a bheith ann a thugann gaol loighciúil dó le heilimintí eile an struchtúir. Ar an dara dul síos, níl sé oiriúnach i gcónaí bloc aonair stórála leanúnaigh a úsáid, agus más ea is gá scéim bainistíochta stórála a sholáthar ag am rite.
Computers, Computer Science A data structure whose organizational characteristics may change during its lifetime. The adaptability afforded by such structures, e.g. - linked lists, is often at the expense of decreased efficiency in accessing elements of the structure. Two main features distinguish dynamic structures from static data structures. Firstly, it is no longer possible to have all structural information in a header; each element will have to contain information relating it logically to other elements of the structure. Secondly, using a single block of continuous storage is often not appropriate, and hence it is necessary to provide some storage management scheme at run-time.
